Dal mese di marzo 2024 è in commercio la terza edizione della guida ufficiale del GIROS alle Orchidee italiane, profondamente ripensata nei criteri tassonomici e comprendente tutti i nuovi taxa segnalati in Italia. Di conseguenza il numero delle pagine è passato dalle 368 della seconda edizione (2016) alle 480 di questa. Ci è sembrato il miglior modo per celebrare il trentesimo anniversario della nascita dell’Associazione. Since March 2024, the third edition of the official GIROS guide to Italian Orchids has been on the market, profoundly rethought in its taxonomic criteria and including all the new taxa reported in Italy. As a result, the number of pages has increased from 368 in the second edition (2016) to 480 in this one. It seemed to us the best way to celebrate the thirtieth birthday of our Association.

La Rivista del GIROS / The GIROS Journal (ISSN 2281-6437)
La Rivista del GIROS per i primi 20 anni (1995-2014) è stata denominata GIROS Notizie (GN), con uscite quadrimestrali (3 numeri ogni anno); dal 2015 si chiama GIROS – Orchidee Spontanee d’Europa (OSE), con uscite semestrali (2 numeri all’anno) e notevole aumento qualitativo e del numero delle pagine. The name of GIROS Journal for the first 20 years (1995-2014) was ‘GIROS Notizie’ (GN), with four-monthly issues (3 issues each year); since 2015 its name is GIROS – European Native Orchids (OSE), with six-monthly issues (2 issues per year) and a considerable increase in quality and number of pages.

Si tratta di tre files excel, ognuno scaricabile per la consultazione (Botanico, Geografico e per Autori). Attualmente (novembre 2025), gli Indici sono aggiornati a tutte le uscite 2025 della Rivista (OSE 68-2). Importante: è stata completata la revisione del Catalogo Botanico, in base alla nuova tassonomia e nomenclatura ufficialmente adottate nella terza edizione del libro ‘Orchidee d’Italia’, con le necessarie note e rimandi alle voci oggi obsolete, ma comunque a suo tempo usate nella Rivista. They are three excel files, each downloadable for consultation (Botanical, Geographical and by Authors). Currently (November 2025) Indexes are updated to the issues 2025 of the Journal (OSE 68-2). Important: the revision of the Botanical Catalogue has been completed, based on the new taxonomy and nomenclature officially adopted in the third edition of the book ‘Orchidee d’Italia’, with the necessary notes and references to the entries now obsolete, but still used in the Journal at the time.
